In bowl interior: Minerva head indicating a fineness of .950 introduced on May 10, 1838. On exterior : Bigornes countermark introduced after 1838, also an obscured maker's mark. Reverse of stem: maker's mark: a diamond with a star above and below "NV", and another Minerva head.
