Comprehensive Storage System (CSS) Wall Unit
This is a Wall unit. It was designed by George Nelson Associates and George Nelson and manufactured by Herman Miller, Inc.. It is dated ca. 1960 and we acquired it in 2013. Its medium is teak, brushed stainless steel, chromed metal, iron, painted metal, plastic (lamp shade). It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.
When I was looking through Cooper Hewitt I came across this timeless, classic piece. I am a huge fan of George Nelson and his American industrial design.
It is credited Gift of Susan Kasakove.
