Studies, Bangerz

This is a Studies. It is dated 2014. Its medium is graphite on paper and prints on foam core; staged 2014, miley cyrus world arena tour . It is a part of the department.

“When I met Miley Cyrus, she was evolving away from her child star persona. Various groups criticized her twerking and tongue-protruding dance moves. We decided she should perform the entire show on her tongue. We made studies of a giant Miley face with a tongue that became a stage filling the whole arena. Her beloved Alaskan Klee Kai dog, Floyd, joined the stage as a 30-foot-high inflatable.”

It is credited Courtesy of Es Devlin.
