Picture Mirror, 2016
This is a Picture Mirror. It was designed by Hsing-Yin Liang.
This object is not part of the Cooper Hewitt's permanent collection. It was able to spend time at the museum on loan from Hsing-Yin Liang as part of Access+Ability.
Mirrors can be disturbing to people with Alzheimer’s, who sometimes interpret their self-image as a stranger, causing both confusion and distress. This mirror operates in two modes as a mirror or as an illuminated picture frame—and can serve the needs of the entire family.
It is credited Lent by Hsing-Yin Liang.
