Suite Of Bracelets

This is a Suite of bracelets.

This object is not part of the Cooper Hewitt's permanent collection. It was able to spend time at the museum on loan from Neil Lane Collection as part of The Jazz Age: American Style in the 1920s.

It is dated 1930s. Its medium is diamonds, rubies, sapphires, platinum.

Although Raymond Templier and Gerald Sandoz specialized in machine-age jewelry made of precious materials, even those firms that specialized in cut stones, such as Boucheron, created some eye-catching examples, such as this suite of bracelets from the 1930s. The tricolor bracelet set cleverly suggests both the French and American flag colors while also displaying a combination of Cubist and industrial sensibilities.

It is credited Neil Lane Collection.
