Elephants, sea creatures, and other natural elements not native to France or the United States, seen in these textiles designed by Raoul Dufy for Bianchini-Férier, suggest the widening design sources invoked not only in textiles but by designers in general in the 1920s.

It is credited Lent by The Cleveland Museum of Art, Purchase from the J. H. Wade Fund, 1926.557.
