Pair Of Clips, Tutti Frutti
This is a Pair of clips.
This object is not part of the Cooper Hewitt's permanent collection. It was able to spend time at the museum on loan from Anonymous as part of The Jazz Age: American Style in the 1920s.
Multicolored, or “Tutti Frutti,” jewelry was in evidence at the Paris 1925 exposition where its Indian-style carved gemstones earned acclaim. The appeal of Tutti Frutti continued into the 1930s, as seen in a pair of Cartier clips.
It is credited Private Collection.
