Brooch
This is a Brooch. It was designed by Leslie Leupp. It is dated ca. 1987 and we acquired it in 2016. Its medium is steel, gold. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.
This large brooch, composed of two wire rectangles set at angles to each other, presents an optical illusion, appearing both two-dimensional and three-dimensional simultaneously. Leupp's brooch seems to continually change shape as the wearer moves.
