Brooch
This is a Brooch. It was designed by Petra Zimmermann. It is dated 2008 and we acquired it in 2016. Its medium is polymethylacrylate, found black glass, printing ink, onyx beads, silver leaf, blackened silver. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.
The form, scale, and materials of this brooch reflect not only an interest in costume jewelry, but a fascination with the constructed world of Hollywood glamour in an earlier era.
