Drawing, Design for a Painted Porcelain Plate, Les Compotes et Marmelades (Compotes and Marmalades) for the Service des Objets de Dessert (Dessert Service)

This is a Drawing. It was designed by Jean Charles Develly and manufactured by Sèvres Porcelain Manufactory. It is dated 1819–20 and we acquired it in 1989. Its medium is pen and brown ink, brush and brown wash, white gouache, graphite on cream laid paper, circular border in pen and brown ink. It is a part of the Drawings, Prints, and Graphic Design department.

It is credited Museum purchase through gift of James Amster.
