Border Fragment (USA)

This is a Border fragment. It is dated 1700–1750 and we acquired it in 1961. Its medium is crewel wool on linen and its technique is stem, roman, speckling, knots, chain, surface satin, buttonhole embroidery on plain weave. It is a part of the Textiles department.
