A figure dressed in this costume appears in a group of etchings (one of which is shown) of a production staged by Giuseppe Galli Bibiena (1696–1757) in Vienna in 1719 for the marriage of Maria Josefa of Austria to Federick Augustus, Elector of Saxony.
