Buckles (2) (India)
This is a Buckles (2). It is dated late 19th century and we acquired it in 1942. Its medium is silver gilt, turquoise, coral, glass. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.
Two large paisley medallions are joined at the center when each of these buckles close. The shape is repeated where smaller gilt paisleys and coral beads dangle below.
