Lettered in plate, lower center: LE CHATEAU DE TRIANON qui est à droit de la Croisée du Canal de Versailles ne consistoit autrefois qu’en 3 Pavillons que le Roi avait fait/ construire a la place d’un Hameau nommé Trianon; mais cet Edifice aiant été rebâti de cette maniere sur le dessein de Mr. Mansart avec une/ magnificence Roiale. Ce Bâtiment n’a qu’un Etage decoré d’un Ordre Ionique de marbre avec un superbe peristyle dans le fond de la Cour. Les Combles ne font/ pas plus hauts que sa Balustrade ornées de Figures et de Vases. Les Lambris des Apartemens sont enrichis de Tableaux des meilleurs Maîtres de France &c.; lettered in plate, upper left: EXPLICATION DES RENVOIS/ 1. Avenüe du Canal….
