Chair

This is a chair. It was designed by Walter von Nessen. It is dated 1928. Its medium is aluminum, brass, leather.

This dramatic chair, with cut-out stepped contours recalling skyscrapers, was featured in Macy’s 1928 Arts in Industry exhibition, along with other works by Walter von Nessen and imported works from Germany.
