Continuum Brooch
This is a Brooch. It was designed by Katja Prins. It is dated 2007 and we acquired it in 2016. Its medium is silver, sealing wax. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.
This brooch reflects Prins’s interest in the interconnectedness of human bodies and machines. In her words, “every organic body of a living being is a kind of divine machine, or natural automaton, infinitely surpassing all artificial automatons.”
