Fish Design Invitation
This is a Invitation. It was designed by Gaetano Pesce. It is dated 2004 and we acquired it in 2016. Its medium is polyurethane resin. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.
For about 20 years, architect and industrial designer, Gaetano Pesce, has explored the use of resin for objects ranging from furniture to vessels. Pesce doesn't 'push' the material to follow his whim. Instead, the flow of the material itself ofen decides the final shape of the form. This colorful invitation suggestive of a fish (a play on Pesce's name) presents a clever invitation to an exhibition of the work of Pesce's studio, Fish Design.
