Brooch
This is a Brooch. It was designed by Pavel Opočenský. It is dated 1990 and we acquired it in 2016. Its medium is colorcore formica, metal (pin). It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.
In this brooch, Opočenský experimented with mass-produced ColorCore, a manmade material usually associated with domestic interiors. Here he transforms the material into an essay on geometry, color, and surface.
