Wing Bracelet, 2012
This is a bracelet. It was designed by Arthur Hash. It is dated 2012 and we acquired it in 2016. Its medium is nylon. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.
While most CAD based software is driven by data and number entry, Hash instead used haptic-sensitive hardware and organic modeling software to digitally “sculpt” the design for this 3D-printed wearable cuff. This allowed him to generate geometry and forms through subtle movements of the mouse and varying pressures of a stylus nib.
