This is a vase. It was designed by George Cartlidge and produced by Sampson Hancock & Sons. It is dated ca. 1912–20 and we acquired it in 2013. Its medium is lead-glazed earthenware. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

It is credited Gift of Harry C. Sigman.

Its dimensions are

H x diam.: 19.7 x 9.8 cm (7 3/4 x 3 7/8 in.)

It has the following markings

On underside; "Morrisware" over a crown surmounting a scroll marked "S Hancock & Sons," over "Stoke on Trent, England," along with "C7-13" and an underglaze green script signature, "GeoCartlidge."
