School on Wheels

This is a Project. It was designed by Door Step School. It is dated 2000–2013.

For the children of migrant workers in India, even a basic education is difficult to come by. The Door Step School brings quality education to these children with innovative programs that accommodate their transient lives. The School on Wheels is a bus equipped as a classroom that picks children up daily, providing a stable setting to learn basic literacy and arithmetic skills. MyBook helps teachers to record each student’s academic progress while providing the students with a handbook to take when they are next uprooted. Importantly, it contains phone numbers to free education centers in the city with the aim of maintaining educational continuity.
