Remix
This is a Project. It was designed by Sam Hashemi, Tiffany Chu, Dan Getelman and Danny Whalen. It is dated 2014–present.
Transit planners lacked efficient tools and resources to explore route options. Code for America fellows designed a digital transit sketch tool, Remix, that enables planners to translate their ideas into easily understandable maps. Demographic data—jobs, poverty levels, and minority and senior population numbers—can be overlaid on routes to quickly show who would be affected by a change. The initial public version, Transitmix, generated 50,000 transit maps; the Remix professional version is used by more than 50 transportation agencies around the world.
