Camera, Axon Body 3 Body-worn Camera
This is a camera. It was designed by Nathan A. Patulski and design team member: Julianne Beswick, Chyna McRae, Juha Alakarhu and Ryan Delker and the design director was Jason Hartford and manufactured by Axon Enterprise Inc.. It is dated 2019 and we acquired it in 2023. Its medium is plastic, glass, electronic components, leds. It is a part of the department.
Recognizing body-worn cameras as a growing technology with law enforcement applications, Axon designers developed the first wirelessly connected body-worn camera utilizing fast LTE (Long Term Evolution) mobile connectivity for live-stream video and wireless video upload. Smaller than a cell phone, the camera includes a lens, speaker, microphones, and display screen to show unit status and multiple functions. Amid the racial justice protests of 2020, body cameras have come to represent both the successes and shortfalls of public demands for police transparency, accountability, and reform.
