Folding Fan And Box

This is a Folding fan and box. It was retailed by B. Altman & Co.. It is dated 1905–1910 and we acquired it in 2018. Its medium is sticks of tinted mother-of-pearl, carved à jour, incised, and inlaid with steel paillettes. slips of bone. single leaf of silk gauze weave (crossed warps) embroidered with steel and possibly celluloid paillettes of different sizes and shapes. mother-o.
