Tablecloth, New York World's Fair
This is a Tablecloth. It was designed by Marguerita Mergentime.
This object is not part of the Cooper Hewitt's permanent collection. It has been able to spend time at the museum on loan from Virginia Bayer.
With a palette of mostly primary colors for this souvenir tablecloth, Mergentime creates a vivid calligraphic map of buildings and monuments in the Corona Park fairgrounds and New York City. It was sold exclusively at B. Altman & Co.
It is credited Courtesy of Mergentime Family Archive.
Its dimensions are
L x W: 130.8 × 130.8 cm (51 1/2 × 51 1/2 in.)
