Poster, Baby Bottle
This is a Poster. It was design team member: Steven Brower, John Gall, Leah Lococo, Susan Walsh, James Victoire and Morris Taub and the art director was Steven Brower and printed by Royal Offset and firm: Post No Bills. It is dated 1994 and we acquired it in 1997. Its medium is offset lithograph on paper. It is a part of the Drawings, Prints, and Graphic Design department.
This provocative print by creative agency Post No Bills details derogatory slang terms for a variety of minorities in America. The names are arranged alphabetically in a descending order in basic white type on a black background over the outline of the bottle, so that each name corresponds to a line of measure. The print is rough with a xeroxed quality to the image, suggesting low-quality production, or a vernacular form of graphic design.
