ts502 Portable Radio
This is a Portable radio. It was designed by Richard Sapper and Marco Zanuso and manufactured by Brionvega, S.p.A.. It is dated 1964 and we acquired it in 1994. Its medium is abs plastic, chrome-plated metal. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.
Sapper and Zanuso's portable radio combines a pure, modern aesthetic with a functionality that not only facilitates ease of use, but also protects sensitive electronic elements from inclement weather, or being jostled in transit. The radius corners and retractable chromed metal handle soften the overall appearance, creating an object that is equally stylish in its open or closed position.
