This is a Commemorative picture. It was manufactured by American Silk Label Manufacturing Company. It is dated 1925 and we acquired it in 1988. Its medium is silk and its technique is jacquard woven. It is a part of the Textiles department.
The woven signatures were produced with the Jacquard technique, using multiple punch cards for the design. This work highlights the importance of script and its extension into design.
