Sampler (England)

This is a Sampler. It was embroidered by Elizabeth Warren. It is dated 1815 and we acquired it in 1981. Its medium is silk embroidery on wool foundation, linen tape and its technique is embroidered in cross, stem, eyelet, satin, and running stitches on plain weave foundation. It is a part of the Textiles department.
