Sewing Sampler (Germany)

This is a Sewing sampler. It is dated 1909 and we acquired it in 1981. Its medium is silk embroidery on cotton foundation and its technique is inset patches and cross stitch on two pieces of fabric seamed together; 1 plain weave, the other 2/2 twill. It is a part of the Textiles department.
