Embroidered Picture (possibly Mexico)

This is a Embroidered picture. It is dated late 19th century and we acquired it in 1981. Its medium is wool embroidery on cotton foundation, with glass beads and metal sequins and its technique is embroidered in cross and raised stitches on plain weave foundation; beads sewn on individually and in pre-strung strands. It is a part of the Textiles department.

This object was bequest of Gertrude M. Oppenheimer. It is credited Bequest of Gertrude M. Oppenheimer.
