Tea Cloth (fukusa) (Japan)

This is a Tea cloth (fukusa). It was dyed by Yasutaka Komiya. It is dated 1970–79 and we acquired it in 1978. Its medium is silk and its technique is plain weave crepe, dyed, resist applied with stencil. It is a part of the Textiles department.
