It has the following markings
Importer's mark (GS) ?, gothic "L" date letter (1926-27), import mark for 18ct. gold (used from 1904-62), London import mark (sign of the constellation Leo, used from 1906 on) are all stamped in this order on left side bezel. A diamond shape impression with an illegible symbol is on front bezel (possibly French mark). Import mark for 18ct. gold stamped on left side. An eagle's head is stamped on right side (French mark, possibly for Paris).
It is inscribed
"Betty Macmillan, 10 Chesam Place" is inscribed on underside of lid.
