Sampler (USA)

This is a Sampler. It was embroidered by Catherine Van Boskirk. It is dated ca. 1825 and we acquired it in 1974. Its medium is silk embroidery on linen foundation and its technique is embroidered in cross and stem stitches on plain weave. It is a part of the Textiles department.
