Towel (possibly USA)

This is a Towel. We acquired it in 1974. Its medium is cotton, linen and its technique is damask woven with one warp (white linen with red cotton stripes) and one weft (red cotton for borders and white linen for field), a variety of bindings used for tone. for example: in the border, the red background is 1&7 satin, the densest white is 7&1 sa. It is a part of the Textiles department.
