Border (Netherlands), 1650–1700

This is a Border. It is dated 1650–1700 and we acquired it in 1971. Its medium is linen and its technique is bobbin lace of discontinuous tape; six bobbins used for connecting bars; the bobbin-made relief decoration with loops was made separately and sewn on using a needle. It is a part of the Textiles department.
