Textile (Peru)

This is a Textile. It is dated ca. 1300 and we acquired it in 1969. Its medium is wool, cotton and its technique is somewhat warp-faced plain weave with grouping of warps for weft-faced plain weave: slit tapestry; predominantly warp-faced plain weave; one corner: slit tapestry on group parps, nonhorizontal wefts for outline, wrapping; sides: one is intact; ends: one ha. It is a part of the Textiles department.
