Vestment (Russia)

This is a Vestment. It is dated 19th century and we acquired it in 1969. Its medium is silk, cotton, metal and its technique is cut supplementary warp pile (velvet) in a plain weave foundation with addition of one supplementary weft (metal) for facing. It is a part of the Textiles department.
