Frieze (France)

This is a Frieze. It is dated 1840–45 and we acquired it in 1952. Its medium is block-printed on continuous paper, polished ground. It is a part of the Wallcoverings department.

In Weikersheim bedroom length was cut in two. Upper part used as frieze and border. Lower part used as chair rail.
