Lettered in plate, lower center: LE CHASTEAU ROYAL DE MADRID Scitué à une lieuë de Paris dans le bois de Boulogne à esté bâti par François 1r l’an 1529 à l’imitation de celuy d’Espagne il est d’un sin/gulier dessein qu’oy qu’il ne soit pas dans la regularité de l’Art les sculptures et poteries qui lenjolivent le rendent agreable à l’abord, et les Offices pratiquez sous terre sont tres/ singuliers. il appartenoit à la Reine Marguerite a presente on y’à establi une manufacture debas de soye. Cette face regarde Paris celle de derriere est semblable.
