Lettered in plate, lower center: LE NOUVEAU CAPITOLE est elevé sur les ruines de l’ancien qui l’a surpassé en reputation, mais non pas en magnificence; il est situé sur une Hauteur que les Anciens/ appeloient LE MONT-TARPEIEN, et Sert aujourd’huy de Tribunal aux Senateurs et aux Conservateurs de la ville de Rome. Michel-ange en fut l’Architecte. L’Eglise de St. Marie/ D’ARA COELI est bastie sur le debris du fameux Temple de Jupiter Capitolin.
