Print, LE THEATRE D’EAU

Lettered in plate, lower center: LE THEATRE D’EAU à côté du Marais pres de la Fontaine de Ceres est d’une forme presque ronde divisé en Theatre et Amphitheatre avec trois range de Sièges et environné d’une Allée d’Ormes. La Palissade qui est/ autour du Theatre est ornée de quatre niches avec des groupes d’Enfans de metail doré dans des Bassins et le tout se termine par trois Allée au milieu desquelles est un Canal en Cascade et au bout de chaque Allée un Amour/ pour la differente decoration des Scenes l’eau y fait divers changemens comme Berceaux Palissades, Lances de Cristal, Grilles d’eau, Chandeliers et Aigrettes dont les mouvements causent quatant de Surpris que d'admirati/on
