Drawing, Nuptials

This is a Drawing. It was created by Jan van der Straet, called Stradanus and engraved by Rafael Sadeler I and dedicatee: Charles Emmanuel I, Duke of Savoy. It is dated 1595 or before and we acquired it in 1901. Its medium is recto: pen and ink, brush and wash over black chalk on laid paper verso: pen and ink on laid paper. It is a part of the Drawings, Prints, and Graphic Design department.

It is credited Museum purchase through gift of various donors.
