Melanie Isverding was born in Vreden, Germany in 1978. Between 1994 and 1998, she was an apprentice goldsmith in Vreden. She stayed in Vreden after her apprenticeship, working as an independent goldsmith between 1998 and 2002. In 2002, she moved to Hanau to work and attend the Staatliche Zeichenakademie, leaving the academy in 2005. Between 2005 and 2011, she worked and studied under the direction of Otto Künzli, in Munich. She has won several awards and has pieces in permanent collections, both public and private.
