Jacobsen attend the Vienna Kunstgewerbeschule (School of Applied Arts) in 1912, and was a student of Rosalia Rothansl and Adele von Stark. She was a designer for the Wiener Werkstätte in textiles, enamel, ceramics, painted woodwork, and costume jewelry. She also participated in creating the decorative wall murals for the firm’s textiles department. A member of the Austrian Werkbund, Jacobsen participated in the Vienna exhibitions, Modeausstellung (Fashion Exhibition) of 1915 and the Kunstschau (Art Show) of 1920.
