Italian scenographer from Milan. Studied under Pietro Gonzaga and then was apprenticed to Alessandro Sanquirico at La Scala. He was stage designer at the National Theater, Frankfurt, where he designed the setting for Mozart's Clemenza di Tito (1799). He returned to Milan in 1805 to work at La Scala.
