Futura

Futura, born Leonard Hilton McGurr, is an American artist known for popularizing grafitti art in the mainstream and influencing the evolution of the form from primarily letterbased to fluid abstractions. Over the course of his career, Futura has worked in the public realm, marking buildings and subway cars with his characteristic style, and as a sculptor, photographer, illustrator and graphic and fashion designer.
