Dan Higgins is a medical illustrator. With a B.F.A. in Graphic Design and a M.A.M.S. in Medical illustration, he has worked as a medical illustrator at WebMD, from January 2000 to October 2001, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), from July 2002 to the present. Before working on the Coronavirus illustration, he and Alissa Eckert have worked together for 14 years on other virus projects, such as Ebola and Zika.
