Clarfeld & Springmeyer was the second largest cutlery manufacturer in Germany prior to the First World War. It was founded in 1858 by Fritz Clarfeld and the engraver Heinrich Springmeyer. The firm specialized in producing cutlery in nickel silver, alpaca, and, beginning in the 1890s, silvered metal.
