Geraldine Sarimento is a visual designer and prominent cartographer. She graduated from The Cooper Union in 1997 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and received a Master of Professional Studies from the Interactive Telecommunications Program at New York University in 2007. At Stamen Design, she was the lead visual designer and worked on a number of influential projects, including color and texture design for Watercolor and Toner maps, Facebook Flowers, and cartography for the London 2012 Olympic Games. Her work on Stamen’s prettymaps was featured in MoMA’s 2011 Talk to Me show. Since leaving Stamen, Sarimento has worked as a cartographer for Apple, Mapzen, Snap Inc., and HERE Technologies.
